Interior designer Marylou’s stand-outs and experience visiting the Art Fair in September this year.
During September this year, I had the pleasure of visiting the Contemporary Art Fair in Sydney, so I thought I would share my thoughts & experience, as well as some favourite pieces and artists for you from the fair…
When walking into the art fair, you are met with a buzz of excitement and inspiration. I love the venue, Carriageworks, a great blend of materiality, timber, iron beams, glass with a rustic vibe and has amazing spaces.
The art and artists come from all over the world so there is a real mix of artistic style and flair and genres. Itโs a bit like lights, cameras, action! The bar is open and so people are walking around with a drink in hand. Everyone is friendly and there is a real sense of giving and community.
I think in order to take it all in one has to spend hours walking around or come back a second time.
Some of my favourite pieces were by Zadok Ben-David People I Saw But Never Met and Clara Adolphsโ Double Swimmers.
