It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the end of the first month of 2025! We’ve hit the ground running since returning and, with a little renewed energy from the break, we’re already back into the swing of things.
Now that we’ve finally caught up on all the laundry from the summer holidays, it got us thinking about some of the laundry and bathroom spaces we’ve had the pleasure of designing.

We love crafting laundry spaces that are not only functional but also enjoyable to spend time in. As rooms we use daily, it’s important they bring both ease and comfort to our clients’ routines. For us, designing a laundry is a rewarding challenge because, with careful planning, these hardworking spaces can truly transform day-to-day living. Practicality doesn’t mean boring—laundries can be stylish, inviting, and highly efficient!

The bathroom, too, is where you prepare for the day and unwind at the end of it. Functionality is key, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful.
Treat your bathrooms as an extension of your home! At Marylou Sobel we love to create seamless, cohesive designs that flow naturally into the rest of the spaces, breaking down the barriers between practicality and luxury.

One of our favourite projects was a luxury penthouse renovation, where we crafted a sophisticated yet warm bathroom by using the same stunning stone in various formats throughout the space.
Grigio Orsola marble was featured in mosaic tiles on the shower floor, custom-cut slabs for the shower seat, benchtops, and niches, with large-format tiles gracing the walls and floors. We designed a built-in bath with stone surrounds and created a bespoke mirror with brass detailing that tied perfectly into the marble surrounds.
The result was an elegant, cohesive space that blended practicality and indulgence effortlessly.

We look forward to sharing the stunning laundry and bathroom spaces from our latest projects with you, along with many more beautifully designed rooms to inspire.
