While our projects speak for themselves, there’s so much that happens behind the scenes to bring them to life. With a small, passionate team of four, our week is thoughtfully structured to keep creativity flowing and each project moving forward with intention and care. Here’s a small sneak peek inside a typical week at MSID headquarters in Woollahra.

Beyond the day-to-day, we also carve out space to connect with our wider design community. Marylou is a member of the BOSS Group (a subsidiary of the Business of Design). A collective of female founder architects and interior and lighting designers who meet regularly to exchange ideas, share industry insights, and support one another’s growth. These conversations go beyond design; they’re about mentorship, strategy, and navigating the highs and lows of running a creative business.
She is also a proud member of the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and part of Indy, a dynamic group of 100 women interior designers and architects, founded by Caron Grunschlag of KE-ZU. These networks offer invaluable collaboration, inspiration, and connection, and continue to be a powerful and energising force behind our studio.

And finally, whenever a project wraps, we devote time to capturing it through photography, video and storytelling. These days are a flurry of creative energy, with stylists, photographers and videographers all working together to bring the space to life. It’s our way of sharing the beauty, detail and intent behind each project.
