For so long, I believed that being a designer meant going it alone. But this group, brought together by Kimberly Seldon of Business of Design in Canada, has shown me the beauty and strength in true collaboration.
We are a collective of women, architects, interior designers, and lighting designers, each running our own practice, each with different paths and experiences. We meet regularly to support one another, not just in design, but in the day-to-day realities of business. These conversations are honest, generous and deeply grounding. We talk about the highs, the lows, and everything in between and together, we problem-solve, encourage and uplift.
“Whenever we meet, it is so electric and so uplifting, and we all say how lucky and blessed we are. I feel very privileged to be a part of this group. It is the first time in my career as a designer that I have felt this safe in a group of designers.”

Though we each bring a different background and perspective, we share the same challenges and the same desire to create with integrity. Our conversations move beyond the visual, into the structural heart of what we do, mentorship, strategy, problem-solving, and encouragement.
It’s a reminder that we are stronger when we build together in work, in business, and in life.
