Fusion Friday, a new kind of Friday Favourite.

Fusion Friday, a new kind of Friday Favourite.

For this week’s instalment of Friday Favourites, I wanted to give my blog readers a taste of what my Instagram followers see from me every Friday on their feeds.

I am sharing the very best of Fusion Friday posts from Instagram – it’s the perfect collision of fashion and interiors.

@marylou_sobel_interior_design

Every Friday, I post a #fusionfriday image to Instagram, an image that combines a trend or style in fashion, that has also been tastefully applied to interior design. It has been a lot of fun to work on and my followers definitely look forward to my post each week.

It is no coincidence when fashion and interiors follow the same trends, as they all follow the same design and colour forecasts, and then, there are trends that appear and feature in Vogue internationally, such as animal print, pastels etc.

So, for this round of Friday Favourites, I wanted to bring you all my favourite and most popular Fusion Fridays…You can also click on the photo to view the original Instagram post & comments- I hope you enjoy!

A bit of golden glamour interior and fashion inspo for your Friday!
Loving the bold black and metallic statements.

Today, it is all about this lush shade of jade and traditional Chinoiserie. Rich in history and beauty, I can definitely appreciate Chinoiserie in both interiors and fashion- what do you think?

What a glorious mix of tones- ruby, rust and pewter. I love how the runway look is toned back a little with some natural texture coming from the feathers, gorgeous!

I am not a red or pink person for that matter, but I can definitely appreciate how these two seemingly clashing colours can come together to form a special statement. I think I am loving this red and pink!
This bathroom wallpaper is also fun for something different.

The return of gingham. I don’t think one can go wrong with this classic monochrome print, it just needs to be done well, with class and a little restraint.

A festive feel to this week’s fusion of fashion & interiors. Champagne tones and pops of orange- divine!

When one wants to make a statement when it comes to fashion or interiors, this shade of green is the perfect choice in my eye.

When one wants to go all out, why not do it with feathers!
A Paris Fashion Week look, fused with a handmade floor lamp, finished in gold leaf with an ostrich feather shade- something special…

A blend of rich red wine, velvet and sophistication is what I love about this fusion of fashion and interiors.

Charmed by the Orient. I love how both fashion and interior design can be inspired by the world around us- one rich in culture and history. It encourages designers to be influenced to create exciting and innovative designs.

I love this stylish and sophisticated styling, of course, in my favourite shade of green.

A soft, but impactful print and these warm neutral tones are the perfect match for this week’s fusion of fashion & interiors. I love Kelly Wearstler’s unique and iconic aesthetic.
